FAQ
Q. Where can I get one of those airsoft claymores?
A. Either go to our Store or check out the Retailers Page.
Q. What's your next product going to be?
A. See Status.
Q. When is the grenade going to be available?
A. See Status
Q. How much is the airsoft grenade going to cost?
A. It is still too early to tell.
Q. How much does the airsoft claymore cost?
A. Go to our Store for our price. There will be retailers carrying the Airsoft Claymore and they will
determine their own price. Check out the Retailers
Page.
Q. Why is the ASC7 so expensive.
A. There are many reasons that it sells for as much as it does. Like
research and development have to be added to the cost. We buy in low volumes so
we don't get the discounts higher volume products such as guns receive. There
are many other reasons but more importantly to us is that we are selling it at a
competitive price for what it does. Our closest competitors devices sell for
more. Plus the price of gas to run some.
Q. Why did you make the tripwire pin the way you did?
A. We spent a lot of time working on what we consider the safest way to
make the tripwire work. In order for it to be safe and not actually be a "trip"
wire we made it where the tripwire detached from the unit after firing. We
worked on a number of different methods. We settled on the bent cotter pin
because it can be replaced without ordering a special pin from us. There are two
pieces (the tripwire pin and the safety pin) that can be lost. We made sure both
these pieces could be replaced cheaply and easily at a local hardware store.
Q. What is the status of the various projects?
A. See Status
Q. Where are you located?
A. USA. More specifically Branson, Missouri.
Q. Do you have anymore video or pictures?
A. All of the videos that I have of the claymore look pretty much the
same as the one that is in the downloads sections.
Q. What is the FPS?
A. I do not know what the fps is on the Airsoft
Claymore. I don't have the equipment to measure multiple projectiles and it's
not possible to get just one bb to shoot in a predictable direction. On my
prototype I was able to shoot myself from a distance of one foot with only minor
whelps showing up. The FPS on the grenade will be much lower than the claymore. It is
being designed with the thought that most of the time it will be close to its
intended targets. With the potential of firing when touching a target.
Q. Does the amount of BB's in the Airsoft Claymore effect
the FPS?
A. Yes and No. This is by no means scientific. We have found that using
about 50 BB's is ideal for us. Adding more BB's increases the coverage within
the firing area. But the percentage of BB's that come out at higher FPS
decreases. This all comes down to a personal preference of speed and coverage.
Q. Will this be available where I live?
A. As long as there aren't any laws stopping you from getting airsoft
guns, there shouldn't be any problems. Even where there are problems this may
not be in the same category.
Q. I have a question that isn't in the FAQ.
A. Fill out the form below.
